lies wear a mask

Lies wear a mask—a faux friend by your side. They giggle and dance with a mischievous flair, Whispering sweet nothings that float in the air. "Oh, I’m not late!" they chime with a grin, While you wait at the door, feeling frazzled within. "I swear it’s the truth, I’d never mislead!" Yet they munch on your patience like a tasty seed. “Oh, I love your new haircut, it’s quite bold and chic!” While inside you’re thinking, “Did a raccoon sneak?” And that "gourmet" dinner from last night’s feast, Turns out to be leftovers from last week's beast! So here’s to the fibs, the tales spun so fine, To the weavers of stories who casually dine. They tickle our fancies, confuse and bemuse, In this grand comedy—what do we choose? For a sprinkle of humor, a dollop of fun, Life’s little deceptions? Well, they weigh a ton! So let’s laugh at the lies, have a chuckle or two, For who knows, dear friends—maybe they’re true!
