Stolen love

Back in the past Joel was in a marriage with no love and it was suggested that he do a mind power course or the marriage was lost.
Joel enrolled in a course with Paul at a considerably high cost in monetary terms. Joel arrived at the town hall where the course was to be held and paid over $1500 and was accepted. There were couples and Joel was the only single male until Jan arrived at the last minute. The course lasted three days and Joel and Jan were paired up. During one of the exercises they had to stare into each others eyes and take it in turn to give compliments and the other was only to say thank you. This exercise went on for some fifteen minutes and they started playing "I want to know what love is" by Foreigner. Joel broke down and sobbed like a baby and Jan consoled him. These exercises went on for three days with Jan and Joel having there hearts drawn and quartered and every emotion in the book was paraded before them with every emotion having to be delt with.
After the three days course was over they had follow up nights at the town hall where all things were discussed.

Jan was beaten up physically and emotionally and was in a bad way caring for her two daughters. She worked at a full time day job and loved the company and the workers there. She also joined Amway and loved the social times they organized and the books and tapes they supplied.

Joel was a coal miner and had been buried up to his chest under the underground bins and had to dig himself out. His life was in shambles with only his work to keep himself going. He was married and had three sons all of whom were high achievers the youngest being 5.

These two people had found a common thread that they had in common and they continued to see each other for many years. Jan did a fire walk and had severe burns to the feet and Joel tended the wounds as she could not walk for some weeks. Joel also did a fire walk and was not burnt at all. They both were flying high from the mind power and the fire walk they grew closer and closer together.
Joel wanted to take things to the next step and Jan would not allow it as he was married and she knew how his marriage was near on the rocks and did not want to be the one whom destroyed it.

Then Jan finally fell in love with Joel and Joel stopped it going further. They used to see each other every Friday night and just talk as Joel would go to her house. Joel loved her daughters two very strong minded individuals, amazing girls they were.
One night Joel went to see Jan and she was sick very sick and Joel actually asked Jan if she was going to die. Jan replied that she was all right.
Joel left Jan late on Friday night after helping her with her domestic duties and arranged to see her in the morning they embraced and Joel left with fears on his mind.
The phone rang at eight o'clock on Saturday morning it was Jan's best friend who also happened to be called Jan. Joel's wife answered the phone and called out to Joel to get the extension phone in the garage. Jan gave Joel the worst moment of his life "Jan had a massive heart attack and was dead".
Joel's soul sank to the ends of the earth. He said he would have to ring back and hung up. Joel went into the house where his wife laughed at him.
Joel was destroyed in a second a second time. Joel left the house and drove to the lake where he sat and cried til there was no more tears to flow.
Several days later Jan's funeral was on and Joel at the last minute took time off to go to the funeral.
Jan's mother was there sitting in a wheel chair and Joel had not had the privilege to have meet her before. Joel introduced himself and said to her "you do not know me I am Joel Jan's friend". To Joel's surprise she said "I know everything about you".  "Jan told me everything and you are a wonderful and kind man."
Joel's marriage lasted for a few years after this with out love and his wife left him. Several years later Joel remarried .
Joel's new wife loved him very much but had been affected by drugs in the past.
One night in the middle of winter whilst Joel was away working he returned home to find his wife Trisher gone.
Joel rang the hospital and she was not there and he rang the police and had her placed as a missing person. The following week they found her in the mental ward and his worries were released.
Several months later she was taken again and Joel has not seen her til this day. She has now been gone for a year. Joel now lives alone and has no ambitions of meeting or getting involved with people again.
